Game Notes:

In the Stars 5th league game of the season and the first road league game since May 28th the Stars head to Lee Summit, MO. to take on the KC Elite. Stars are cruising behind another Michael Meenen great pitching performance 2-0 going in to the bottom of the 7th when the problems hit and with 2 outs a dropped ball in the outfield cost the Stars 2 runs and the lead. The Stars had 2 errors in the game both in that inning and give up 3 unearned runs before shutting it down. Meenen goes 7.1 strong innings again and Colombo throws 4 pitches to shut the door but it was to late. From the plate the Stars only muster up 6 hits and none in the last 5 innings of play. So the Stars drop to 4-1 in league play but still remain atop the standings and just need to win next weeks game at the JC Hornets to clinch the title. Stars meanwhile will next be in action Wednesday night playing 2 games in Oklahoma City against the Elk City Travelers at 5pm and the CC Boomers at 7:30pm and a quick turn around with no rest.
